About

Welcome to La petite biscotte!

I finished my life as a chaotic French student and am now working in my former and once again hometown Munich. Imagine an old flat, dusty skylights with rain pouring onto them and a large kitchen (which is about the only large room the flat) where I spend most of my time, not far from the 30-year old oven that works quite nicely as a cozy heater. This is where I brew my recipes, make pictures and send them into the bogshpere. I do plan on focusing a little more on Munich as a town and posting pictures of the places that grew to be my favorite corners.

This blog started in December 2006 as a hobby and a recipe collection tool mostly. I’m of Croatian origin but have grown up in Germany and am now studying in France (Aix-en-Provence). My focus lies on Japanese, French, German and Croatian food but I dip into many other ethnic cuisines when I feel like it. Since a few months I discovered my passion for bento, which is the Japanese word for take-away lunches. Surely you’ve seen those neatly packed, colorful boxes with several dishes and gorgeous looking riceballs already before. That’s what I concentrate on because I’m mostly eating lunch at university, so I try to combine healthy / quick eating with a beautiful presentation. Enjoy and don’t hesitate to leave comments with feedback !
